Richard Phelan

Richard studied Animation at the University of Wolverhampton. After graduation he won the Bristol School of Animation storyboard competition, his prize being to attend the prestigious three-month course.

Upon completing the course he worked as an animator and storyboard artist on a number of award winning short films and documentaries including several NFTS animation films which attracted him to apply to the Animation Direction course.

Whilst at the NFTS Richard has directed several short films in a variety of techniques and styles and enjoys collaborating with others. After graduating Richard looks forward to continue developing his storytelling skills and to work on larger projects in the film industry.
