Joseph Pierce

Born in 1982 and raised in the Suffolk town of Ipswich , when many people were cultivating crops Joseph was harvesting a healthy interest in arts from an early age. With an active interest in staring at things it seemed only logical to delve into cinema and see how it works. He quickly discovered performance and movement and the joy of sitting in his local independent film theatre feeling profound.

He has arrived at the film school, via a degree in experimental film and an array of much valued work including acting, design, boom operating and production assisting. He has enjoyed working in a creative capacity with such varying groups as young offenders, nurses and young people in care.

Having settled into the belief that he is a filmmaker Joseph wishes to make objects move and tell beautiful, important, dark and hilarious stories. He believes animation is a limitless art-form which will fulfil him and others who are hanging around nearby.
