I studied fine arts up to degree level. Upon graduation I realised there was a lack of recruitment for fine artists specialising in video installations but the Arts Council took pity on me and awarded me a grant to research 3d CGI and motion capture.
This good will spread to the Film Council, who then commissioned me to make the short film Loetzinn. During this time I also worked on a number of other projects ranging from designing interactive dancing stages to teaching school children motion capture.
I then took a job at the Norwich School of Art & Design as a digital video technician and was so good, or they couldn't find anyone better, they made me a digital 3d technician as well. I soon got the urge to make another short animation and aspirations to work as professional in animation led me to the NFTS.
